Lora is the first Program Director for The Julian Year, an internship and formation program for young adults. The Julian Year is a New Initiative of Episcopal Charities and Community Services.
In 2010, Lora completed a PhD in Religious Studies from Northwestern University. At Northwestern, she taught courses in Christianity and other faith traditions. Lora also worked for Northwestern's Public Affairs Residential College, where she created programming in civic life, community development, and student leadership
Lora preaches throughout the diocese, sharing good news about The Julian Year, the Ministry Partners of ECCS, and ministry to young adults. She is a postulant for ordained ministry, and she studied at Seabury-Western Theological Seminary. She also spent several years volunteering and leading a cooking team for Ravenswood Community Services.
Lora served as a Jesuit Volunteer in Kathmandu, Nepal from 2002 to 2004. She earned degrees in English literature as an undergraduate at Pepperdine University and as a master's student at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
