Georgianna Gleason

Executive Director

As Executive Director of Episcopal Charities and Community Services, she brings more than 30 years experience in the not-for-profit sector, in both religious and secular organizations, to her role at Episcopal Charities and Community Services (ECCS). As the chief executive of the organization, Georgianna is responsible for operations and policy development for effective public ministry. She has led the organization for more than a dozen years.

Georgianna provides direction for the Board of Trustees, who manage ECCS’ invested funds, and leadership for a network of 12 diverse social service agencies, whose budgets total more than $35 million and whose services annually reach 60,000 individuals. Under Georgianna's leadership, ECCS has expanded program offerings to include affordable home ownership and organizational capacity building. She also diversified fund development operations to include public funding and increased charitable giving.

Prior to joining ECCS, Georgianna served in various capacities, including as a Senior Consultant for HayGroup Management Consultants, the lead grantmaker at Trinity Church, and a program officer for the Presiding Bishop’s Fund for World Relief Church in New York.

She holds a Master of Divinity Degree from Union Theological Seminary in New York City and received her B.A. degrees at Stephens College in Columbia, MO. She is a member of the Church of Atonement. She currently serves on the boards of Interfaith Refugee and Immigration Ministries and the Industrial Areas Foundation.
